Privacy Policy

1. Data stored on your device only

Tooba keeps the following in your browser or app storage. It is not sent to our server: your daily adhkar progress; tasbih counter, daily wirds, their targets and any wirds you add; custom adhkar and supplications you write; display settings (font size, dark mode, vibration); and your chosen reminder times. This data is removed when you clear the app's or site's data, or uninstall the app.

2. Data sent to our server

This happens only if you enable notification reminders. We then store exactly three things:

This record is not linked to your name, email, phone number or any other identity. It is used for one purpose only: sending your reminder. The notification text is fixed and contains no personal data. The app refreshes the record at most once a day when opened, in case your time zone or token has changed.

When it is deleted: immediately when you tap "Stop reminders" in the app, or when the push service tells us the subscription is no longer valid.

3. What we do not collect

Names, emails or phone numbers; your precise location; contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera; and payment information (the app is free). The analytics we do use are described in section 4.

4. Services the app relies on

• Cloudflare hosts the website, the notification server and the small database holding the record described above. Hosting providers may log standard technical data, such as IP addresses, for operation and security.
• Google Fonts serves the app's fonts, so Google may receive your IP address and browser type when fonts load, under Google's own privacy policy.
• Google Analytics is Google's analytics tool. It measures visits and how the app is used, such as the pages and buttons used, device and browser type, and the approximate country or city inferred from your IP address. It may use cookies or similar identifiers.
• Microsoft Clarity is Microsoft's analytics tool. It records how visitors interact with the page (clicks and scrolling), may show simplified session recordings and heatmaps, and uses cookies. We mask text you write yourself, such as your custom adhkar and wirds, from these recordings.
• Push services provided by your browser or operating system (such as Google, Apple, Mozilla and Microsoft) deliver notifications and are governed by their own policies.

We use analytics data only to improve the app and do not link it to your name or email. It is governed by Google's and Microsoft's own privacy policies, and you can limit it by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

We do not sell your data, and we do not currently use analytics data for advertising.

5. Advertising

Tooba does not currently show ads. If we add ads in the future, before turning them on we will:

• update this page and its date to name the ad network used, the data it collects (such as the advertising ID, IP address and device data) and why;
• ask for your consent to personalized ads where the law requires it, and give you a way to manage your choices;
• configure ads in line with Google Play policies and child-protection laws, and block, as far as we can, categories of ads that do not suit the nature of the app.

6. Permissions

• Notifications — optional, requested only to send reminders. The app works fully without it.
• Keep screen awake and vibration — used only for reading and counting; no data is sent.
• Sharing — the share button opens your device's share sheet; what you share goes where you choose.

7. Your choices and deletion

To delete what is on our server, tap "Stop reminders" under the bell icon in the app; the record is removed immediately. To delete what is on your device, clear the app's or site's data or uninstall the app. Because we hold no name or email, we cannot tie the server record to a specific person, so it is managed from the device itself. 8. Children

Tooba is a general-audience app suitable for all ages and is not directed specifically to children. It does not collect personal information from any user, including children. If we learn that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we will delete it.

9. Security

All communication with our server uses HTTPS, and we keep what we store to a minimum.

10. Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
